韩国泡菜炒饭

这种炒饭是我的最爱。微辣微辣的,很合我的胃口。因此,我的冰箱里一定会有泡菜的存在。炒饭里加了杂豆、假蟹肉和蛋皮,简单美味。



Muah Chee 麻芝

I like to make small snacks for my DH. For example this easy-to-make Muah Chee. I extracted the recipe from Mimi Bakery House (http://mimibakeryhouse.blogspot.sg/2011/10/all-time-favourite-muah-chee.html?m=1). I took less than half an hour to make this local snack. Give it a try my friend!

Cream Cheese Blueberry Cake

Ever since I started using Facebook, I have really neglected my blog. I hope I can try to upkeep this blog whenever I'm free.

Just now, I baked a cream cheese blueberry cake just to have a feel of Christmas baking. I have yet to bake my favourite Chocolate Chips cookies and fudgy brownies. I will do that in the next few days. Now let me just upload the cake I haved baked just now.

Hope you have baked your favourite cake or cookies for Christmas. Don't be like always do it the last minute. :-P

中秋节 ~ Mini Pandan Snow Skin Mooncakes斑兰冰皮月饼

岁月在十指之间,如流水般地飘逝,
不知不觉中秋节即将来临了。
在有华人的城市里,都会有月饼的踪影。
这流传了千百年的传统,
没有因岁月推移而消失。
朱元璋将军可能没想到,那一次的起义,
竟然能让吃月饼成为一个传统,并承传至今。
身为华人,我们有义务把这个跟
“团圆”有关的节日传给我们的下一代,
让他们继续把这个优良的传统发扬光大。


我也做了一些莲蓉葵花籽冰皮月饼来应节。
粗糙的制作,敬请大家原谅,献丑了。:-P

Baked Phily Cream Cheesecake

Baked a cream cheesecake 3 days ago. Previously when I baked cheesecake, it seemed like a difficult task. This time round is kinda a bliss for me. Taste wise was just right, not too sweet. I will make again. Ingredients include: Phily cream cheese, sour cream, marie biscuits, melted butter, sugar and vanilla.

My curry again ;-P


After two months, I cooked curry again. This time round I used a Nonya instant curry paste I bought during my last trip to Malacca. The colour was a bit darker than my normal curry but taste wise was still very Nonya style, aromatic and flavourful.  I added some chilli padi for extra spiciness. I stir-fried some vege to go with the curry.

Curry Chicken

It 's been quite sometime since I cooked a pot of curry chicken. Two days ago, I was doing marketing in a wet market and suddenly have the urge to eat curry chicken. Hence, without further thoughts, I bought the necessary ingredients and went home to starting preparing. Without much hassle, a pot of mouth-watering curry chicken was ready for consumption. The potato were very soft and the chicken was tender enough. With a few stocks of lemon grass, it really added fragrance to the pot of curry.

Usually,  I ate curry with white rice but this time round, I cooked some marcoroni to go with it. Surprisingly, it tasted very nice. The marcoroni absorbed the curry gravy and every mouthful was a delight.

Tiger-Stripe Butter Cake

It's been a long long time since I last blogged. Today, I get out from my slumberness and baked this tiger-stripe butter cake. I have tried baking this cake once, but failed to get the stripes correct. I was elated when I saw my final product, with the "quite well-defined" stripes when I cut the cake cross section.  Have a slice, will you?  ;-)

Royal Icing & Fondant

I love cookies especially chocolate chips cookies. But it is boring to always hv only one type of cookies. Many times I wanted to try baking other types of cookies like those with different colors royal icing. However, whenever I see those baked by fervent food bloggers or sold at bakery shop, yes no doubt they look dainty n nice, but looking at the icing and colors loaded on the cookies, I defer my plan to bake cookies with royal icing. Because I don't want to eat in chemicals and sugar. Same goes to cakes with fondant. I am really scared to bite on fondant cakes. It makes my teeth hvg that kind of cracking feeling.
